Designed for Hi-Fi and Home Cinema Systems, our Mains Conditioning filters help remove degrading Radio frequency and Electromagnetic Interference coming through the mains and will help deliver more detail to your music and clearer pictures on screen.
Technical notes and performance Our filters are specifically designed to combat both ‘Asymmetrical’ as well as ‘Symmetrical’ interference, both being effectively suppressed by the introduction of High Frequency Capacitors and Low Impedance Ferrite Chokes for high frequency Interference and High Impedance Ferrite Chokes for low frequency interference. In addition we have also incorporated Earth Line Chokes to stop interference through the mains earth line, finally we use an RFI Double Screened Mains Cable to eliminate the effects of radiated noise interference.
Both the Tacima two and three stage Mains Conditioning filters were tested for insertion loss in the frequency ranges of 0.15 - 1000MHz. The insertion loss measurements were carried out asymmetrically (L+N input to L+N output) using a UKAS calibrated spectrum analyser fitted with a tracking generator with a system impedance of 50? (Rohde & Schwarz ES126 3C ID No. 3C/0590).
